February Training day based at 1st Chesham Scout HQ proved to be another busy day where the unit were again joined by the Bucks Jigsaw patrol and there new leader. We were also joined by Mike Parks head of Uk Contingent and Matt Goodwin. The day started with Mike providing an update to the unit of the latest plans for the Contingent. Next the unit started to plan what to put in the crate to ship to Sweden to support our Jamboree experience. After Fika with dinosaur cookies,our second visit of the day arrived, Louise who is half Swedish came to talk the unit about Sweden and its culture and people. She also tried to teach the unit a few Swedish words and to try salted Licorice. After a patrol shopping trip to Waitrose and Sainsburys to buy lunch the unit then planed gateways and tried the designs out with bamboo canes and rubber bands. The rest of the day was take up with the unit practising there entertainment, with some good progress results |
