A busy day yesterday with unit off out and about all day meeting people, swapping badges and scarfs. They also seemed to find time to explorer the site more fully and take part in a few activities. Weather not great with regular heavy rain showers, but at least it managed to stop for the opening ceremony. Opening ceremony was a very emotional event with the whole Jamboree 39,000 people in one arena, flags were paraded in, and then Bear Grylls abseiled from the roof to officially hand over the Jamboree from the UK the last hosts to the Swedish. A great atmosphere and great time had by all.

Today the unit are off doing the first of the Modular activities 'people’, not that they know it yet but the unit are swapping 2 patrols with Belguim tonight for our evening meal which could prove interesting :)

I understand there are many photos and streams of the opening ceremony, UK contingent pre event and around the Jamboree on various sites, keep looking out for us
