Units First Meeting

Chalfont Heights Scout Camp site was the venue for Bucks Units first training weekend. This was the first opportunity for all the young people and leaders to meet together and get to know each other.
35 Very excited young people took part in a variety of team bonding activities and games, as well as brushing up on a few Scouting skills that they are sure to need at the Jamboree such as Orienteering, pioneering and cooking. They also had the opportunity to find out more information about the Jamboree and the training they will be undertaking. They also had the chance to taste some Swedish food such as Salted Licorice, pickled herring, reindeer sausage and Swedish Meat balls, with some interesting results

The unit mascot ( Captain Awesome) was also officially named by the unit over the weekend and formally adopted as a full unit member.

Everyone finished the weekend with a lot more friends and even more excited about the Journey ahead.
